Zentangle Map

A zentangle map of US states inspired me to create a zentangle map of my local area, with a different pattern in each postcode area. I have used a mixture of official zentangle patterns, patterns seen on other people’s work and my own creations.

  1. This is gorgeous, you must’ve taken a lot of time to perfect it. Do you think it is possible to do even closer one? I’d love to see what one of my area (The Isle of Wight) would look like. As the piece is personal to each person and their area, do you think the names are needed? Maybe you could do a seamless one that is recognisable by boarders alone. You have a real talent here, I hope you do more 😀

    1. Thanks for your comment 🙂 This picture has taken 3-4 months working on and off. Any shape or image which can be divided into patterned areas could be done as a zentangle picture so yes it would be possible to do one of the Isle of Wight. Zentangles are quite easy to do. Many patterns can be found to copy online, so really it’s just a case of having the patience and enthusiasm to do it.
