Weaving: A Different Colour

weaving-a-different-colour_small

I experienced an urge to work with different colours to normal as a way to move away from the grief that I was experiencing, a way to draw a line underneath it. Bright colours normally dominate my art work and so working predominantly with white and grey was a change. Working on this piece, I found some deep emotion was tapped into, yet I haven’t been able to determine exactly what it was. I do think the wool being sparkly had something to do with it. I started out weaving a few weeks ago intending weaving to be a nurturing and calming activity, however it has now become an active part of my therapeutic journey.
